Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Fine Arts and Communication is the first institution in the state of Chhattisgarh, offering AICTE approved, engineering diploma in fine arts and communication. Department offers three years diploma in Mass Communication. The course includesprint and electronic media radio, photography, advertisement and public relations,film making and new media. A comprehensive focus on academic rigor and adequate exposure to the Mass Communication industry are two elements which ensure that the learner is well-equipped to deal with the various nuances of the industry by the end of the course.

Department of Interior Decoration (Three years full time)

The department of Interior decoration offers three years diploma in Interior decoration, curated in a way that allows students to identify areas of interest within the interior decoration industry and to help them transition into their desired career path. The labs and curriculum provides expertise in urban design, architecture and interior design. The design studios are committed to the creation of an urban architectures. Designs out of the courses would make memorable places in support of sustainable communities. Curriculum offers an application of traditional place making practices expressed in a contemporary aesthetic language and material sensibility.

Department of Fashion and Apparel Design (Three years full time)

The department offers three year diploma in Fashion and apparel Design, which aims to equip the students with an in-depth understanding of the role of a designer in today’s fashion industry. The Fashion Design Apparel course includes all the segmentations across various genders and age groups. This course enables students to become competent in this particular vertical with the use of new-age technologies. The program enables the students for careers in apparel and soft goods design and development. Student would learn Fashion designers using their creative and technical skills. Curriculum includes design products, develop patterns, monitor quality control and assurance and coordinate sourcing activities. The program emphasis on garment ornamentation with fusion of multicultural traditions of apparel design. Industry Internship would make the students aware with global as well as contemporary developments of seasonal collections.
